Stanford University (REU, SCPD Student)

Open to 25-fall PhD

I’m a Bachelor of Science graduate from Johns Hopkins University, advised by Dr. Mathias Unberath and Dr. Alejandro Martin-Gomez. I found myself driven to research extended reality (XR) by integrating virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) to shape the future of healthcare and society. Specifically, I enjoy studying how VR/AR/XR empower people, provide guidance, and improve healthcare. My portfolio includes VR/AR apps, computer-mediated surgery and communication.

My previous research includes advancements in multi-modal sensing and mobile technologies. I am grateful for all the guidance from working with: Dr. Bruce Daniel, Dr. Brian Hargreaves, Dr. Christoph Leuze, and Dr. Fred Baik at Stanford; Dr. Dinesh Manocha at UMD; Dr. Hua Guo at Tsinghua.

I enjoy entrepreneurship & running start-ups, playing table tennis, and fishing. I created a startup during COVID year that served 1000+ customers and generated ~$100k yearly revenue. I have played for JHU table tennis varsity and represented the school to compete at the regional level in Washington DC. Do not hesitate to email me if you want to connect!
